Solnhofen stone is the stone of choice for builders, architects and designers throughout the world. Subtle in its impact, Solnhofen stone gives an impression of understated elegance. It has the installation ease of marble or ceramic tile combined with the durable strength of graphite.

Uses -- Solnhofen fossilstone has the compressive strength of granite and a natural slip resistant texture. It is a popular paving and wall covering material and is ideal for wet areas such as patios and swimming pool decks. The stone's density and abrasive hardness also make it ideal for high traffic areas.

Colors -- the tiles come in an assortment of colors consisting of natural variations of yellow, gray and brown.

Tile size -- polygonal plates in thickness ranges 8-12 mm, 13-19 mm, 20-25 mm, 26-35mm, 35-50mm. CTS from mosaik sizes, through all popular dimensions up to 60x60mm. All sizes are modular (2 mm shorter) thickness irregular or calibrated from 7mm to 30mm.

Care and cleaning -- the cleaning of Solnhofen stone surfaces is simple and cheap : clear water must be applied, if necessary including a small amount of a wax-free cleansing agent. Alkaline and acid agents are to be avoided.
